The climatic condition of this city is considered to be hot/rainy. The western part of the city is a hillside slope along the coast of the beach. The sand beach has a total distance of 5 kilometers and the city is 3 kilometers above sea level. The economy of Saensuk is reflected as a well competitive place if compared to other areas as most of the local people have their own business which is located in main tourist attraction places such as Nong Mon market and along the Bangsaen Beach. Moreover, business such as fishing and farming is very popular in this city. Regarding the educational terms, Burapha University is located here and they have the institute of Marine Science, which helps support the knowledge for the locals as well.

At the end of year 2007 Saensuk City has a total population of 42,124 people classified to 19,437 male and 22,687 female. With the total population, they are separated to 8,677 families. The number of people who has the right to vote in election is 32,378 people classified to be 14,372 male and 18,006 female. Most of the people live along the coast of the beach from the area of Pak Klong Prong to Bangsaen Beach. The main transportation road is High way number 3 (Sukhumvit road) which is near Nongmon Market and Highway number 3137 which is the separation from Highway number 3.
The transportation of Saensuk city is available both on Land and water but the more faster and comfortable way would be land transport. Most of the people tend to use cars in order to travel. The area of Saensuk city is a Rectangular shape place from North to South where the western has the Gulf of Thailand aligned. Thus it makes most of the important roads place in position from North to South and each road has its own importance and connections as follows
- Main road includes Highway number 3 (Sukhumvit), which starts from Bangkok and connects many important cities in the Eastern part such as Samutprakarn, Bang Prakong, Chonburi, Saensuk city, Sriracha, Pattaya, Rayong, Chantaburi, Trad. Thus this is considered to be a road that is very important for economy and tourism industry for the eastern part of Thailand.
- Main streets include highway number 3134, 3137, Bangsaen road number 1 and number 2. Bangsaen road number 1 (30 meters wide and an Island with trees and sidewalks on both sides) is a road that is aligned along the coast of the beach and the traffic is quite jammed as most of the locals and tourist travel along all the time. Where as Bangsaen road number 2 (30 meters wide) is placed near number 1 where it is used to handle tourist and local traveling in and out of the beach
- Secondary roads include road new line road number 7 and number 13, which helps handle traffic from main roads and main streets and can be further, developed for a tourist attraction site.
- Minor roads includes roads that connect Bangsaen road number 1 and number 2 and another road which connects Bangsaen road number 1 to Laemtaen (tourist attraction site) and leads to Bangsaen road number 2. Another road is the road around Sam Muk Mountain which connects from Bangsaen beach. Also there are usable roads which are 104 concrete roads, 14 paved roads and 16 gravel roads.
- Pedestrians walk way and Bicycle path – walkways are aligned at the side of every roads and the major walk ways are around Bangsaen beach where they don’t allow cars and motorbikes to enter. Bicycle path are located near the beach as well and again no cars or motorbikes are allowed.

- Traffic condition – most of the time during weekends traffic are really jammed as there are many locals and tourist who travel in and out of the city and visits different places like Nongmon market, Bangsaen beach, Laemtaen, Sam Muk Mountain and many more, but on normal weekdays traffics are smooth.
Chonburi Waterwork Authority is the place that handles and supplies waters to the city and the sources of waters are from 2 reservoir including Bangpra reservoir and Nongkho reservoir. Also they purchase water from EAST WATER company for 24,000 cubic meters per day. The production of water is 112,880 cubic meters per day and distributed to the district at 16,720 cubic meter per day.
The Electricity Authority of Bangsaen are the ones in charge of distributing electricity to the city area. There are 12,318 registered house(data from December,2006) where they consume 2,840,490 units/month. They also distribute electricity to the 74 public places where they consume 100,118 units/month and a combine supply of 391,182.13 units/month. The electricity supplies are distributed along 264 places covering 330 roads.
TOT Public Company are the ones providing services to the city and has 4 exchanges including Bangsaen, Nongmon, Maneekaew and Saensuk and can provide services for up to 13,617 numbers and also has 4 signal antenna towers. Total telephone numbers at local houses are 12,770, and the no. of house that has telephone is 11,000 houses. There are also 546 public phones. There are 2 post offices available, one is at Burapha universities and another is at Nongmon Market.
Saensuk city is in Chonburi area as said by the Ministry of Interior which had a public announcement vol.86 in the year 1990 and effective from the date of 30 July 1990. Saensuk city is an educational area as well as tourist attraction and residential area. Most of the locals have their own business trading goods and services located at Nongmon market and Bangsaen Beach. Around 1.1 million tourist visits Bangsaen per year and spends averagely 1,300 baht/person (according to www2.tat.or.th) and that made the economy grow rapidly. There are also business that helps local to earn and it includes fishing, farming as well as guide for tourist.
Saensuk city has been an area where people focus of agricultural business since many years ago. But with the current changes in behavior of local people, farming has become a less importance factor for them. More popularity has gone to Farming and Fishing which is located near the south of Bangsaen Beach until the area of Ang Sila. Some of the locals also focus on their sideline business that includes coconut farming, shrimps farm and many more to support their daily spending.

There are total of 65 industry (data from Chonburi Industry Authority) which most of it is a food industry including from large ones to small ones scattered around the area and some examples are fish sauce manufacturer, starch manufacture etc. Moreover, there are also other industries to match the needs of locals such as icing production, car repair garage, concrete manufacturer and also business that are run by Saensuk City authority which is a slaughter house and water treatment factory.
It is one of the major factors that drive the whole economy as it helps locals to earn, increases in employment rate and also helps to influence people to invest in the city such as opening Hotels and Resorts.
- Institute of Marine Science : located at Burapha University where it includes Museum showing different sea creaures, and also for researching on these sea animals. It is open everyday except Monday.
- Bangsaen Beach : It is one of the most popular amongst tourist, it is situated 13km away from Chonburi and the distance of the coast of the beach is 5km. There are beautiful roads and walkways and facilities that can accommodate you such as hotels, toilets, restaurants and places where you can rent out water sports equipment. Currently Bangsaen Beach has been developed in a way that it is now beautiful and cleaner than what it used to be before and it is one of the places where you can relax with nature entirely.
- Laemtaen : It is one of the places where you can enjoy beautiful scenery of nature and it is located at the North of Bangsaen Beach. At Laemtaen, you can have a look at the sculpture, which won the contest and it is a unique platform located there. Also there is a commemoration hall that is stretch long towards the ocean.
- Sam Muk Mountain : Located at the North of Bangsaen Beach, at the cliff of this mountain lies a Shrines which is respected by locals there. This place is a story of a young couple where they swear to die by the oath given to each other. At this area, there are many monkeys living and many tourists like to come and feed them. Most of the time tourists will come to pay respect to the Shrine and enjoy eating at the restaurant located up on the mountain before leaving.
- Nongmon Market : located on Sukhumvit Road near the intersection to enter Bangsaen beach. At this market you can get a souvenir for your friends and relatives and the popular stuffs are sticky rice, seafood, desserts etc.
- Temples : temples are also in the interest or locals and tourist and the reason is because in different temples lies an art and sculpture of Thai culture and most of the temples built here are more than 100 years old and the famous ones are Tal Aom temple, Rasadon Sadta temple, Jaeng Jaroen Don temple, Trai Muk Chayaram temple.

There has already been a prevention from the business owners to tourist regarding the price of goods and services and the Authority in charge has set up 11 groups of people including – Peddlers group, Scooters boat group, Deck Chairs Group, Retail food groups, Bicycle groups, Photographer groups, Grilled Chikcen group, Western Sukhumvit coast shop group, Eastern Sukhumvit coast shop group and Nongmon Market group. For each group that has been set up, there will be a volunteer to be the leader and they will have to join the committee meeting once a year in order to get briefed about how to sell goods and services to tourist.
Saen Suk City has set up the political system in the year 1988 and since then there has always been an election for the Mayor and the committee members.
At Saen Suk City, security is one of the important factors and therefore there a Police station has been set up in order to support the locals and tourist. Other than that, there are also many committees and groups of people who are in charge of the securities both in and out of the city. Moreover, training sessions has been set up to help teach local people how to prevent themselves from preventing accidents and disasters that might happen. Last but not the least they have set up the average sea level for Saen Suk city should be 3 meters above sea level.
