Bang Saen beach

"Bangsaen" is a tourist town known for all the fun it has to offer. No matter what your tourism preferences are, this town is always ready to ensure that you find happiness and joy. Activities that you shouldn't miss riding bicycles to enjoy the fresh air along the 2.5-kilometer beachfront and water activities such as swimming, surfing and banana boat rides. Another tourist favorite is to simply chill on a deck chair while others enjoy relaxing in the area without beach umbrellas and deck chairs as well as enjoying delicious seafood and numerous other activities. The municipality designates one business-free day every week for the beach to recover and for the officers to maintain it by collecting coconuts that are prone to fall, pruning the branches off the trees and cleaning the area so that tourists can enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere than on other days.

Laem Thaen viewpoint

This historical area is where the guesthouse of former prime minister Field Marshal Sarit Thanarat, the birthplace of "ASEAN" (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), is situated. The seaside area comes under the jurisdiction of Saensuk Municipality which has upgraded its landscape, adding space for people's activities and touristic purposes as well as enhancing its tourism potential.

Also added are barriers, benches and the sign "BANGSAEN KAOSAMMUK", promoting sports tourism, enhancing safety and accommodating recreational and sport activities. The area has been designed to solve problems such as littering around rock/wave barriers by zoning with either specific or 24-hour opening times, adding green space, Active Zone for parties, quiet one for peace as well as relaxation areas.

Buoys: New Normal tourism for Bangsaen beach

Every winter from November to February, the Saensuk Municipality provides buoys to attract tourists and to add a distinctive characteristic to the area. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the sea and take photographs of it from the buoys, in compliance with relevant regulations to prevent possible accidents.

Wonnapha Beach

To the south of Bangsaen beach and next to the local fishing community's jetty, this beach is where you can see an actual fishing people's village fishing boats and experience their community's simple and tranquil lifestyle. The Municipality has made improvements to the area with benches and space for a variety of street food stalls.

Chao Mae Sam Muk shrine

Every visit to Bangsaen should include a stop to pay one’s respects at the Chao Mae Sam Muk shrine, a Thai-Chinese styled shrine on Khaosammuk hill. Couples wishing for blessings should pray with offerings of kites, khanom khrok (coconut-rice pancakes), khao lam (sticky rice in bamboo) or young coconuts to ensure their wishes for true love are granted.

Wat Saensuk Wisuthi Wararam

"SaensukTemple" is a learning center for Buddhist teachings and beliefs, with stucco sculptures in a Buddhist garden, heaven and hell depictions reminding us to refrain from sinful acts. Another highlight is the beautiful "Phra Maha Chedi" decorated with Nagas. Inside is a large golden Buddha image, with distinctive characteristics, eight surrounding bright golden poles and a high ceiling that makes the place breezy and relaxing.

Open daily from 9am to 4pm with no holidays.

All-time favorites are khao lam, khanom chak (charcoal-roasted, nipa palm leave-covered sticky rice dessert), hoi cho (crab rolls), pu cha (crab cakes), ho mok (steamed curried fish in banana leaf cups) and chaeng lon (grilled fish cake).
